Singing is an expression of joy. In Colossians 3:16, St. Paul exhorts the faithful assembled in expectation of their Lord's return to sing together. He says, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.., singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God." Our relationship with God is one of love, and whether we sing loudly or softly, on pitch or out of tune, sing! St. Augustine very rightly says that, "it is natural for a lover to sing." We might also remember the ancient proverb that tells us "those who sing pray twice." So sing your praise to God – He will surely be pleased.
HOLY TRINITY ADULT CHOIR
The Adult Choir ministers at the
11:00 Mass (off during the summer months) and rehearses on Sundays at 10:15 am in the church.
Choir Expectations
To be a member of the adult choir we ask that you are committed to the following:
1. Make the choir a priority in your life. It is a true ministry and the parish expects you to treat it as such!
Please note, we all have very busy lives and some may not be able to make the weekly commitment to rehearsals and Sundays (plus special liturgical Holy Days). That is OK. Your family commitments MUST always come first and if you can't be a member of the choir do not worry. God will use you in the life you are called!
2. To sing on Sundays you MUST be at rehearsal on time and in your place on Sunday at 10:15 AM. (Of course, if rehearsals are cancelled due to unavoidable circumstance like weather, this rule is waived.
3. Robes will be replaced by your own Black and White clothing.
If you feel like you are called to the ministry of music - please call me!
