During the past year , Holy Trinity Parish has experienced the joy of many celebrations and events. We journey together, marked by our desire to work and pray together as a parish family—the weddings, blessing of backpacks, pumpkins, Christmas Pageant, Anointing Mass, All Souls Remembrance, Barbecue and Parish Picnic and so many other moments in our lives of faith. The common thread of all these wonderful experiences help us to see the tapestry of our parish life.
We continue to have a small staff to help the parish with the many aspects of parish life. Each week we publish in the bulletin our weekly Offertory Collection. Recently, it has fallen below $4,000. This trend has continued for several weeks. Our weekly Offertory Collection is the primary way in which our parish continues to survive. Based on Sunday Collections, over the past 6 months, we are not meeting our expenses.
Bills we recently paid:
Con Edison (Church)-$1,068.49
Medical-$2,180.93
Chiarelli’s Candles and Altar Supplies- $240.00 & $255.40
Assessments-$4,300.00
Telephone and Internet-$399.00, $102.61, $248.18 & $161.52
Ground Maintenance-$1,400.00
TD Card Services-$531.01
Con Edison- $12,155.26 (refunded by DOE)
This does not include any salaries. The salaries are paid from the Payroll Account, and it is processed by Paycom.
As you well know, everything has gone up and so it is with all our vendors. This is an appeal to all of our parishioners in order for us to continue as a parish. I am asking for your help! If you are giving all you can, thank you. If you are giving nothing, can you give something? If you are giving 25 cents, 50 cents, can you increase it? If you are not registered, please register. If you can increase your weekly offering, it will go a long way.
I am always available to speak to you! May all of us help our parish grow in faith, hope and love journeying together as good stewards.
Fr. James W. King
